About Peter Xeni
I worked for Murdoch and once shared an elevator with him. He went up and I went out into my own publishing world some years later. ICON eventually had several newsagency titles, including The Australian Homebuyer, before I left again to get a life. The Paramount Cinema Club was it – a live music and film venue. “The place where the legends (and Elvis) never left the building.”
Nine years later, the fun ended, my hair fell out and I joined the Melbourne Audio Club in retirement. I then contracted audiophilia trying to recreate reality in my living room and drew satiric cartoons for therapy. I needed a ventilator. They've offended a few at the club, but drawing cartoons has really helped me understand audio. I hope it helps you too. Peter Xeni.
