The snow leopard has an interesting survival strategy. They are total loners. Only during a brief mating season do they get together and then only for romantic reasons. For the majority of their adult lives they never see another snow leopard.
Humans, on the other hand, are quite the opposite. We have, for several millions of years, been communal creatures because, together, we are stronger than alone.
Perhaps there are lone audiophiles hiding out in their homes but, for the most part, we love being part of a bigger community.
