Want a new DAC?

Audiophiles are passionate, interesting people. We can make some happy but it seems to always be at the expense of someone else being upset. I suspect I wouldn't want it any other way. I love strong opinions. Ted Smith has labored for close to a year on our two DAC's new operating system, Huron. He wasn't getting something "up to snuff", as a few people on other forums seem to believe. Instead, he was designing an entirely new DAC for the benefit and musical enjoyment of our owners. For the life of me, I cannot imagine how that's something to criticize. There are apparently those out in the wild that believe it's better to change hardware every year or two and bless their hearts for supporting their manufacturers with their pocketbooks. For our owners, Huron is a free upgrade and you get a new DAC in the bargain (though it's been suggested it would sound far better if we charged for it). Huron for DirectStream Junior is now available for free download. The next free release we will announce will be new Bridge code sometime in early July.
