As soon as I find myself rubbing my eyes and reaching for the Flonase, I know it's time to change the tubes, disconnect and reconnect the system.
It's spring and, after a long winter's worth of musical pleasure, we all need to think about dusting off the room, cleaning our connections, replacing tired old vacuum tubes, and generally dressing up the cables that connect our systems.
Perhaps it's only as effective as washing your car, but for me, a good spring cleaning really spruces up the system and breathes new life into the setup.
