Some knucklehead on the news was threatening to teach some group or another a lesson they'll learn "once and forever". A lofty goal indeed and one I think wrong headed under any circumstances.
When we set out to make sure we never do something again, ever, we put up a fence around our curiosity and that's always a detriment to ourselves.
"I will never again listen to digital". "I am through with vinyl and all the hassle". "I will never again buy electrostatic loudspeakers". "I would never join Facebook".
All these declarations limit our ability to learn and grow.
Do me a favor and rethink every personal declaration you've made concerning high-end audio.
I'll bet a few of them might need some further work for you to grow.
