Social media
Have you ever noticed when I send you a post the little Twitter and Facebook icons at the bottom of each post?
They are almost everywhere and most people tend to just blow them off - or not understand what they're for. Up until a few months ago, I was the same. Then I discovered their true power.
Social media is very powerful and it's the way today's society is managing to connect large, disparate groups of people separated by thousands of miles, together. What's powerful about this can be seen in the daily news in parts of the world struggling with their governments.
Social networking is more than friends chatting or kids texting and getting dates. In the right hands, social networking can make huge impacts in groups of people, like us.
What's the high-end community need more than anything? Strength in numbers, sharing ideas and building a strong group of like-minded people who can then get what they want. Now that's an awesome goal.
I can see that very few of you use any of these social media tools with these posts. There can be a couple of explanations: the content isn't good enough to share, or you don't actually have the means to do so. I hope it's the latter, but certainly can accept the former.
Whatever the reason, I would encourage you to engage in some form of social media. It doesn't have to be the bewildering word of Tweets and facebook, but even forwarding emails to a friend works.
The high-end community benefits when we all take a moment and share good idea amongst ourselves.
