The myth of perfection

Perfection is a myth. Achieving it only happens when you first set the boundaries of what you are willing to accept - and then call what you get "perfect".

Perfect software without bugs - doesn't exist.

Perfect performance without mistakes - doesn't exist.

I think it's important to remind ourselves that when we say something "went perfectly" it means our expectations were met and acceptance of the parts that didn't work was tolerated.

Perfection achieved in a listening session is perfect for the moment but not repeatable because the moment is never the same.
