Being good at bad

Being good at bad

This might sound a bit harsh but it needs to be said.

A bad recording should sound bad.

If your system sweetens it up or makes it sound less bad then what kind of truth is your system delivering?

I've long held that on a properly resolving high-end system great recordings should blossom in all their glory while the bad recordings should make themselves known.

Anything less and you're not where you need to be.
