Validation

Most of us seek validation. It's important to know we're on the right track because the validation of others helps steer our direction. Which is why reviewers, educators, mentors, parents, and experts matter. But just because we crave validation doesn't mean we should necessarily shape ourselves around it. Your ideas, original thoughts, notions, experiments, daring adventures, serve to expand your horizons—without the validations of others. Sometimes it is you that others turn to for validation. A two-way street.
