Most of us really enjoy big: big movies, symphonies, ice cream sundaes. And when I listen to my HiFi system I am always delighted when the image is big, deep, and wide beyond the speakers.
What a thrill!
The trick is to make sure the elements within that soundstage are the right size. Not too big, not too small.
A giant singer does not sound real. A guitar the size of my room does not sound correct.
Big is great when everything inside that big is of the perfect proportions.
Go big, but get it right.
