My friend Arnie always chooses to sit on the right side of the audience closest to the cellos and bass because it gives him a "fuller" sound. Arnie voices his speakers to sound the same.
I like sitting in the center because imaging and soundstage are most important to me. I voice audio equipment to sound the same.
We all have our preferred version of what we consider "live sound" in an acoustic space. You probably select your equipment and setup your system to match your view of the world.
