The perfect size loudspeaker for any room.

Hi-Fi News says the aspen FR10 sets the $10k standard. Check out the rest of the review here.

The ground-breaking aspen series of loudspeakers sets new standards for what is possible in home audio reproduction. Now, with the introduction of our most compact loudspeaker yet, the FR10, it is finally possible to bring the magic of aspens into everyone’s home.

The aspen loudspeaker series represents the culmination of 50 years of industry experience; learning in intimate detail what works and what does not; what it takes for a loudspeaker to disappear and leave only the magic of the music; designing a no-compromise phase-correct crossover; constructing a cabinet that does not color the sound; crafting a speaker that is easily driven with any decent power amplifier, and when not even the most advanced driver manufacturer’s products are good enough to meet our exacting standards, designing woofers, radiators, tweeters, and midranges from scratch. In all respects, the FR10 will transcend your expectations of what a small floor-standing loudspeaker can do.

No longer do you have to compromise.

Breathtaking to listen to, beautiful to behold, fits in any size room, with bass that will astound you, the aspen FR10 is a dream come true.

Setup in minutes

The FR10s arrive at your front door through conventional carriers like UPS and FedEx. Learn how easy it is to unpack and set up these wonderful speakers in just a few minutes.
  • Design

The FR10 joins the ranks of a rare handful of true full-range speakers that can honestly cover the frequency range of 30Hz to beyond 20kHz with grace, dynamics, slam, and low distortion—and work in any small to medium-sized room. Within moments of installing your new aspen FR10 loudspeakers, you'll instantly be transported to a new level of musical ecstacy. What's captured on the disc is exactly what you'll hear with a greater resolution than most have ever experienced. Grace, beauty, PRaT, power, and a musicality that is rare amongst 6 figure offerings from other manufacturers await owners of the aspen FR10. That this speaker is financially within reach of many makes it a miracle.

  • Application

Loudspeakers are part of the family. With their presence, they grace our homes and living areas by bringing the joy of music into our lives. Unlike the electronics that drive them, to perform their best most loudspeakers depend on proper placement and optimized room parameters. The aspen FR10, however, is designed to more easily fit into any living environment and perform at their best with a minimum of setup hassles and a maximum of options. While the FR10, like all high-performance speakers, appreciates some breathing room between them and the front wall, placement in the room for best performance is a snap. Using the included step-by-step guide and CD, setup, from unboxing to playing music, happens easily in a few short hours.

    Technology

By far the most important piece in the HiFi chain is the loudspeaker. If the speaker cannot reproduce what it is fed from the electronic chain, the missing musical information is forever lost. To achieve all that music demands, over the years, loudspeaker designers have tried to leverage every trick in the book: electrostats for details, conventional drivers for dynamics, planars for transparency, ribbons, domes, horns, open baffles, bipoles, dipoles. The list is endless and the choices and their inevitable sonic compromises daunting. With close to 50 years under our collective belts, we at PS Audio determined to design the perfect loudspeaker for every application, room size, and budgets. In the aspen series we start with the FR30, then move to the FR20 and then the FR10. Each is a full range state-of-the-art loudspeaker that covers the range of possibilities from small to large rooms and to meet every budget need. The FR10 will fit into every small to medium sized room and provide room-shaking bass down to 30Hz. For the upper end, the FR10 employs the same aspen planar tweeter as found in both the FR20 and FR30. For our legendary open midrange, the FR10 relies upon the same planar technology as found in its bigger counterparts. Without question, the aspen FR10 is the perfect loudspeaker for any room and budget.

So much from such a compact speaker!

They didn't take more than about an hour to setup from the time the FedEx guy dropped them off at my door. I put them where the old ones were and wow! Easy and with great results. I am sending my speakers in on trade.

    Hard to believe

Very impressive! These are clean, and big sounding. When I close my eyes I cannot even tell where the speakers are. Easy set up and even my wife thinks they look good.

    They sound huge

I listened to the FR30 at PS Audio and they were amazing. But, I can't fit them into my room (and can't afford them). The FR10s in my room sound just like I remember the 30s. I couldn't be happier. The bass is really amazing and I don't think I need a subwoofer but Paul always says I do.

I like they are not shiny

I really love the way the new FR10s look in my room. I have a smaller family room where I put them and they look great. I'm not so much into that glossy look so these are perfect. And they sound excellent.

I am very impressed with their openness and the deep bass. Hard to believe they would make that much bass from such a small enclosure. Even my wife likes them. :)

    Better than my Focals

I was really concerned the FR10 wouldn't live up to the Focals but they are now on their way to PS as a trade in. They were great but too sharp in the upper midrange and I wanted something that just played music. The aspens are cool. They really rock.
