Audiophiles have a small close knit community. Why would we care if it gets smaller or bigger?
Because small means fewer options for equipment, new technology and better recordings that brings us closer to the music and big means the opposite.
Imagine what would happen if the high-end shrunk to an interest group of no more than a few thousand of us. No company could manage to invest what it takes to bring out products that really matter and break new ground.
Investing in future growth of the high-end is in everyone's best interest.
