In 1997 we introduced to the world the idea of regenerated power.
Back then, the notion that the AC power's quality mattered was revolutionary.
Scoffed at.
We persisted and today few among us would argue the value of getting the AC right.
Every piece of equipment in the chain matters, but what many don't realize is how important the sources are. Preamps, transports, phono stages, and DACs are all more sensitive and appreciative of regenerated power than power amplifiers.
Which may be counterintuitive considering that sources are typically voltage regulated and fussed over by their designers, as opposed to the unregulated nature of a power amplifier.
And yet, it's true.
One successful tweak I have been suggesting to folks is to go separate. Grab hold of one of our smaller Power Plants like the P3 or P12 and separately power just the sources.
Seriously.
Try it.
You'll be amazed.
