The Artist

TIERRO Band with Bridget Law

A rich tapestry of sonic elegance
Take a journey around the globe without leaving your listening room. Everlasting Dance, recorded in high-resolution DSD, is a listening experience over a decade in the making for the world-class Gypsy Grass supergroup, TIERRO Band with Bridget Law. From beginning to end, this work is electrifying. From the introductory cymbal crash and Tierro Lee’s driving guitar riff on the opening track “Dorset of Perception,” you’ll be immersed in a feast of worldly musical influences and deliciously complex rhythms, all the while catching distinctive notes of bluegrass, country and Americana that keep everything rooted close to home. You’ll enjoy surprises like the outlaw-flavored “Gypsy Weed” and the introspective, violin-featured ballad, “Sitka.” Recorded and mixed by GRAMMY Award-winning engineer, Mike Yach, Everlasting Dance exhibits thoughtful arrangements as well as moments of ethereal sunshine courtesy of three featured vocalists. This is music worth owning.

Now available as a 24-karat gold CD master in addition to the SACD version and downloads.

About

TIERRO Band with Bridget Law

TIERRO Band with Bridget Law
is comprised of five world-class musicians from very distinct genres.
The group was formed in 2012 and has been winning over audiences ever
since with its unique Gypsy Grass musical style. Colorado’s favorite
folk fiddler Bridget Law, a founder of the Americana group Elephant
Revival, brings her soaring, award-winning musicianship to the stage. Tierro Lee, of the world music band Kan’Nal and
lead guitarist for blues-legend Otis Taylor, supplies world-beat
inspired melodies. Charles Parker Mertens who studied ragas in India,
jazz in the US, toured with Thievery Corporation and Rapidgrass, lays it down on the upright bass. Jonny Jyemo
studied extensively in Cuba and Puerto Rico. He plays a percussion kit
formed out of a cajon, bongos and a hi-hat and his rhythms are the
backbones of the group. In 2019 the band added Nabin Shrestha, a true
master of the Tabla who
was born and raised in Nepal and now lives in Colorado. Arriving on a
floating carpet powered by a magical genie, this band of world-class
musicians creates a rich tapestry of sonic elegance that stirs the soul
as they take the listener on an inspired and creative journey around the
globe. A listening experience over a decade in the making.

Record Reviews

Finger snapping
If this doesn't get your fingers snapping and your foot tapping, nothing will! Thanks, Octave.

The guitar is unreal
Just grabbed my own copy and I have never heard a guitar recorded so well. The sound of the guitar is unreal. It's as if the musician is right in the room with me. Thank you!
