The good drug

In 2019, Dr. Emily Roberts (and other researchers) at McGill University, armed with advanced brain imaging technology, set out to discover the power of music.

What they found was amazing.

As participants listened to their favorite melodies, her team's brain scans unveiled an almost unimaginable flood of wonderful neurotransmitters at play including our main pleasure maker, endorphins, and the sought after wonder drug, dopamine.

It was like a Friday night party!

The power of music works wonders on our emotional state: from heart throbs to tears, exhilaration to foot tapping, stress reduction to euphoria, music, when presented in its purest form, is one of the best drugs we have.

Have another hit!
