Size matters

How big is a grand piano? About 9 feet long and 1,000 pounds. Yet, in a great recording, it fits perfectly in a listening room.

High-end audio is all about creating the illusion of size.

A true high-end system doesn’t just reproduce sound; it reconstructs the space where the music was played. A full orchestra can stretch beyond the walls, a jazz trio can sound intimate, and a rock band can hit you with stadium-sized energy.

Size comes from imaging, dynamics, and frequency extension. Get those right, and your speakers disappear, leaving only the music behind. Get them wrong, and the illusion collapses.

A great system doesn’t just play music—it places music in the room.
