Is your home audio system good enough to charge admission?
We don’t flinch shelling out hard earned cash for a live performance, even when that venue likely has much worse sound than our home rig, yet the idea of charging admission to our living room would ruffle most feathers.
I am not actually proposing you sell tickets to your home hifi system (it’s a kind of tongue in cheek thought), but I am suggesting it as a possible benchmark for quality. I have zero qualms of proudly demonstrating any of the three systems on display at PS Audio.
Not just a few people have likened the experience to a ride at Disneyland.
I know for a fact just looking at our Hi-Fi Family photo album that our system is not unique. There are tons of hifi setups around the world whose sound quality is such a cut above most live venues that owners would be justified in charging admission.
What about your system?
