A new installation at the Sonoma Community Center in California features two life-size elephants handcrafted from lantana stalks, an invasive plant species that is crowding out the natural food sources for the elephants. They were created by The Real Elephant Collective of India’s Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve to draw attention to the plight of the native elephants.
