Sunlight is our highest mountaintop software upgrade yet. The ultimate expression of sonic performance in the DirectStream DAC. With Sunlight loaded into your DirectStream, owners get to experience a whole new DAC. We cannot wait until you experience what this, the final upgrade for DirectStream, will bring to your stereo system.
PS Audio's DirectStream DAC is one of a rare handful of fully programmable high-end DACs. Every parameter controlling the DAC's performance is managed through software that runs the unit's core processing engine, an FPGA.
With Sunlight installed, DirectStream becomes fully capable, through its I2S inputs, of quad rate DSD. What this means for DirectStream owners is more than just enhanced DSD performance. In fact, it means DirectStream has been elevated to unheard-of performance levels on all inputs and for any sample rate or format.
