Sub ins

In yesterday's post, Sub outs, I fear I got so involved in the discussion as to completely ignore a long standing rule that the best way to connect a subwoofer is from the output of the main power amplifier.

That idea of speaker level inputs on subs has been integral to my philosophy of system setup for decades now.

So, when yesterday I wrote, "When it comes to high-end 2-channel audio, the best way to feed a sub is a plate of full range audio from your preamplifier and let the sub's electronics do the rest for you." I can understand the confusion with today's statement.

To be clear, I am not changing my stance.

What I should have written (were I not so laser focused on the topic at hand) is:

When it comes to high-end 2-channel audio, the best way to feed a sub is a plate of full range audio and let the sub's electronics do the rest for you.

Thanks for pointing out my error.
