Do you care?

....If the reverb on a recording is real or artificial if it sounds right?
....If the soundstage is not true to the room but it is to your ears?
....If a bit of artificial treble boost was added to the pluck of a guitar?
....If it sounds live but was actually recorded in a studio?
Some of these questions seem like the proverbial sausage factory axiom, though I think it might go a bit deeper. For those of us paying attention to the quality of food we ingest, knowing what went into the sausage is important.
But for those of us focused solely on the musical experience, how it got there is perhaps a bit more academic than important.
When the music is perfect the last thing I want to focus on is how it got there.
I just want to enjoy.
