  1. Live, unamplified music is basically a reference point. The goal is for the recording of a concert, recital or any musical event, to sound indistinguishable for the live event. Without an intimate knowledge of what actual music and voice sounds like, it is impossible to know if what you are listening to is "Live or Memorex". Like trying to get somewhere without a map.
