At our core, we're all critics. We evaluate our system's performance, the music we listen to, the tweaks we try, the setups we work hard at to maximize performance.
But then, when everything works, when the night is upon us, the light low, and the music starts, we can turn off the critic and simply enjoy.
That's the fun of it for me. To have everything working well enough, the sound perfected to a point of wonder, and then enjoy the fruits of my labor and investment.
Critics get a day off too.
