  1. You mentioned several times the different sounds you get with different types of capacitors. This is something I hear a lot when rebuilding amps. Does the same hold true for different types of resistors, diodes, transformers, etc.? I only hear talk about caps.

    1. Yes, indeed it does. And, it’s one of the reasons we spend $1 each for the resistors found in the BHK series. This would normally be under a dime for even the fanciest of resistors, but the ones we use just make the product sound better – else we would never invest the money.

      1. Oh Paul,
        I’ve listened to the Esprit Series. I’ve done it at Shibaura, Sony’s main audio research center.
        Outside of Japan Germany was the only country where they had success with the Esprit Series as they got a lot of press coverage here. BTW the build quality was exemplary, I wished that some of those who call themselves high-end manufacturers would have that quality.
