Design

Designing speaker cables properly requires careful consideration of conductor quality, cable geometry and quality of insulation material (dielectric). Speakers exhibit varying impedances as well as high-current demands. If the speaker cable is not up to the job, loss of fidelity as well as a tonal balance shifts are the unwanted results. With Rocket 44 speaker cable and Stellar a perfect match has been created. Rocket 44 incorporates Perfect-Surface Copper+ into its blend of conductors. PSC+ has fewer grain boundaries, which reduces harshness in the sound. This carefully finessed combination of PSC+ and PSC enables Rocket 44 to deliver clear and faithful sound. Rocket 44 technology also incorporates Double Star Quad geometery eliminating the problems suffered by standard parallel-conductor speaker cables. Application

The Rocket 44 speaker cables are a perfect match for Stellar power amplifiers and your speakers. Use a single Rocket 44 in a full range application, or two Rocket 44s in a bi-wire application. Stellar amps provide two sets of binding posts for this very purpose. Properly connecting your speakers and amplifier together using Rocket 44 allows the amplifier to perform at its absolute best. Rocket 44 and Stellar: a perfect low-distortion match.

Carbon-Based Noise and Crosstalk-Dissipation System

Rocket 44's negative conductors are covered with partially conductive Carbon-Loaded Polyethylene. This remarkable material reduces radio-frequency garbage being fed back into the amplifier. The sonic benefit is exactly the same reduction in "hash" and improved dimensionality that comes whenever RF interference is reduced in an audio circuit. In addition, a carbon layer damps interaction between positive and negative conductors, and an external Carbon-Based Noise-Dissipation System reduces external interference.

Foamed Polyethylene Insulation

Any solid material adjacent to a conductor is actually part of an imperfect circuit. Wire insulation and circuit board materials all absorb energy. Some of this energy is stored and then released as distortion. Rocket 44, however, uses air-filled Foamed-Polyethylene Insulation on both conductors. Because air absorbs next to no energy and Polyethylene is low-loss and has a benign distortion profile, Foamed-PE, with its high air content, causes much less of the out-of-focus effect common to other materials.
