How to separate wheat from chaff

Prev Next

For those non-farmers out there (like me) the wheat is the good part and the chaff is the throw away not worthy of eating. So if we were ever to set up some certification standards for 3D Stereo products, as mentioned a few weeks ago in this post, wouldn't every product in the high-end qualify - and if so how would you separate the high-end nonsense products from those of real value to first time buyers? That, my friends, is the job of the retailer. A great retailer doesn't carry everything, good or bad - unless that retailer has no stake in success. Great retailing is the art of carrying products that support the retailer's brand promise without confusing the customer. If that brand promise is to carry a line of audio products that embody the best of 3D Stereo, then customers can buy with confidence and not have to scratch their heads wading through 1000 choices. That's it in a nutshell. We will always need great retailers.
