FR30s go live

 by Paul McGowan

Tomorrow, Friday the 25th, marks the world’s public premiere of the FR30 loudspeaker.

If you’re planning on attending the Montreal High End show at the Hotel Bonaventure, you can drop by our room to get a taste of one of the world’s best speakers, the Aspen FR30.

Here’s a link to the show information. PS Audio and the FR30s are located in the Westmount 6, room.

Scott McGowan and I are attending the show setup today to get them ready, but we’re unable to hang out and meet and greet folks tomorrow when the show opens. (With great sadness, we both have to head home to lay to rest on Friday one of our team members and dearest of friends, Woody Woodward, who died unexpectedly. Many of you may know of Woody through his wonderful writings in Copper Magazine)

I do hope you have a chance to drop by and check out these remarkable speakers. It’ll be well worth your time.

Have fun!

  1. Hello Paul and Scott:
I hope that your speakers’ debut is a great success. I write though to express my condolences upon learning of the death of your friend, Woody Woodward. If you call us part of your family I can only imagine what a shocking loss this must be. All good thoughts to you at this trying time.

  2. My condolences and sympathy to Woody’s family and friends. Having lost family and friends suddenly, I understand the shock and sorrow that you are feeling. The shock will pass with time.

  3. My condolences to Mr Woodward’s family and the PS Audio team.

“one of the world’s best speakers” might be a nice goal in time, “one of the world’s better speakers” would be a good start and “one of the world’s best selling speakers” would be preferable.

    1. If one doesn’t claim this in US marketing, it’s a bad precondition from the beginning. I guess this market is used to hyperbole and would miss anything less 😉

  4. Yeah, Woody was an entertaining writer and from all accounts an important long term loyal member of the PS Audio production team.

His is a great life story – artist, musician, writer, family man etc. Did he really commute hundreds of miles each week to Boulder and then sleep in his camper four nights a week?

Celebrate the life! rest in eternity…

  5. Condolences for the loss of one of our own and good friend of the McGowan family. RIP.

6 hour and 22 minute drive from me according to Google Maps. I would have to take off from work if I went. Do they require a vaccine card to cross into Canada and into the venue?
