  1. Seeing the audiophile standards set by PS Audio and especially by Darren shouldn’t an updated preamp or phono preamp feature an input for the optical cartridges from DS Audio? Seeing the simpler circuit design compared to the phono circuits for MC and MM it should be a no-brainer to implement it as standard in the new preamp.

  2. The business decision regarding price point is right to my opinion. Still having bunches of LPs from the 1970 upwards I don't use them anymore. Almost every music digitized I enjoy the easy going to play it. For new released music to me vinyl does not make any sense, especially when Octave Records and other labels do recording digital anyway. And, the vinyl lovers have their own opinion on turntable, pickup and RIAA preamp. I know some of them and they like and use electron tube based amplifiers, no silicon at all.

  3. Personally, I don't get it.
If you can include a decent phono stage in an $800 integrated,
then why can't you put a decent one in a $3,200 integrated?
I couldn't help noticing that the 'PS Audio' site went down
during the 'Black Friday' sales, specifically on Friday...
    ooops! 😉
