    1. Double rate DSD (DSD128) operates at 5.6449 Msamples/s. If this is encoded as DSD over PCM, the equivalent PCM rate is 24-bit 352.8 kHz. It might well be that some systems cannot handle PCM at a higher rate than this, and in these cases quad rate DSD would not be possible using DSD over PCM.
