what about MI cartridges?
Moving iron or the variable reluctance cartridge is something I am not all that familiar with. I should probably bone up on them.
Still planning to release a Stellar range phono stage? Assume it will amplify / equalize both MM and MC, would that be right? I still am a huge vinil fan, call me sentimental I don’t care. My Thorens TD105, probably close to 40 years old, still turns and is fun. Problem I fear I have is the phono stage in my Yamy home cinema receiver, it sounds like the last priority on the budget at Yamaha. So I’ll try a decent phono stage prior to investing in a new record player. I have heard different phono stages on real nice Linn LP 12 turntables, the biggest improvement I heard inbetween all the options Linn has to offer was the phonostage. But I just have an issue with having to fork out approx 2300 EUR for an Akurate phono stage, although it sounded mind blowing. So I hope a Stellar stage will be just the right thing to me especially the Stellar Gain Cell is on top of my list of investment.
