  1. Knowing that you cross-check the voicing of your components with more normal world speakers (maybe even without the use of subs), too, I’d be interested how much different the voicing would be if you had to listen to such a setup 98% of your customers have continuously…

    Final voicing possibly would not be much different but I also don’t think it would be the same due to the immense influence the giant authority and bass capability of such a speaker has to the overall tonality. Maybe an interesting topic generally.

  2. Paul, I usually agree with you and I would agree with your choice of the IRS V over the Genesis . I have many hours of listening experience with both systems , same listening room albeit at different times . So there was no direct comparisons and auditory memory could be at fault but while the Genesis had a great deal of low frequency response , it just never sounded quite right to me . Both systems were very revealing so differences in almost anything could have effected the sound but my bet would have been the Genesis amps . With that said , being able to decide which of these systems to live with is an enviable position to be in for anyone who loves music .
