  1. I have a Hiby R5 DAP and it will do up to DSD256 (and MQA decoding if Tidal Masters are of interest.) It uses dual ESS or CS DAC chips depending on Gen. Drawbacks are very small font on display and less than optimal search but sounds great. I paid $300 for it and I'm sure there are several other good products at that price point with even better features and chipsets by now.
    My only solid state component DAC is the PS Audio Nuwave DSD in our Family room so sometimes I use the Hiby DAP as a hi rez source for my Audio Research tube system, or in the car or with headphones.
