      1. Of course. Sorry that was a foolish question. They have to include a digital encoder otherwise it wouldn’t be possible to servo control them for automation.

        1. No worries, Mark. There’s actually a debate in engineering right now of whether or not to use the analog pot at all and stay simply with the digital encoder. I have been drawing layouts and describing recording techniques so we can look calmly at it and make a decision.

  1. Thanks for another great vid. I also was thinking that DSD multi-track to analog made more sense than
    converting to DXD for mixing and then back to to a DSD 2 track master. I will be moving towards Merging/
    Pyramix as soon as I can sell a kidney or something. Please show some of the studio construction as it
    progresses. Thanks again.
