  1. Wow...exaggerated exaggeration, Paul. I have Quad ESL 2905s and hear none or almost none of what you complained about.
    1. 'No bass'? BALONEY...and mine don't have moving-coil bass drivers.
    2. Some recordings may not sound as good as others, but none are unlistenable. Even the highly manipulated and artificial soundtracks of ALL the movies I play on my system sound at least good.
    3. The Quads' transparency is the best I've ever heard in any system.
    4. I don't play music for crowds or even groups. When my very few golden-eared buddies come over (no more than two at a time) to hear my system, they sit in or behind the sweetspot. 99.9% of my listening is done solo, so I definitely don't need the Bose 901 effect.

    I LOVE my e'stats and wouldn't trade them for any other speakers that I've heard. 'Too revealing'? No such thing IMO.
