I wished I could see the video 😉
Just check it.
You have to go to the top of PS Audio's website and click the drop down menu labeled Community. Then click on the Ask Paul Video tab and it takes you to the Videos. If you click on the Facebook link it just takes you to audio only for some reason.
Also there's usually two posts on Facebook for the same video. The one marked YouTube will take you directly to the video on YouTube.
Try WFMT out of Chicago and KCME out of Colorado Springs. Both are classical music stations.
I used to listen to digital radio (DAB) in the UK, but have switched to the internet equivalents. DAB seemed to be at 128kbps at best, and uses the mp2 codec. The internet shoutcasts are still 128kbps, but they use the AAC codec, which gives better, but still not really tolerable, sound quality. I class 192kbps and above as 'tolerable'
One of my favorites is Audiophile Baroque based in Greece. They stream at 320 kB/sec. They also have Audiophile Classical. I get pretty good sound from that station. Also, Spotify can stream at 320 kB/sec and I get some pretty good sound from that source.
I have just connected to Audiophile Baroque and they are playing the Bertali Chaconne in C Major - a great favourite of mine! I am convinced 🙂 Many thanks for the tip.
Venice classical from Italy sounds excellent. Not sure why but really great at times!
I listen to Sirus XM in car and it does sound like shit. So not just because it is digital but that the source sucks, hmmm
