  1. As far as I understand the problem of room modes associated bass dips the only working solution is realized by adding an array of strategically placed subwoofers. Even better: two arrays of subwoofer (one at the front wall the other array in out-of-phase configuration for the listening spot.

  3. Hi Paul. Question from a novice on this subject. I somewhat understand the points here, the point of first reflection and bass peaks and dips in the room. My question is how does one determine what product, absorber or diffuser, to use and where to place in the room it to best improve the overall sound? Seems like an exercise in buying lots of different products, many unnecessary, and long hours of experimenting. Thanks.
