What’s the best way to load a speaker stand?
Subscribe to Ask Paul Ask a QuestionSpeaker stands are great for getting the height of small 2-way and bookshelf speakers just right but they can have the disadvantage of being resonant. What's the best way to damp them?
Has anyone tried non-Newtonian material (often called D3o) in speaker stands? Adhesive mats of it are often used in car audio installations to dampen resonances, and it works great. But, it also comes in different forms, like gels and foams, and it can be pourable.
Fill it with concrete. Messy to start with, but after it sets it’s no longer a problem.
