Hello! Video not working!
I have a question. Since most in-home wiring is standard Romax, why not make extension cords out of Romax found at Lowe’s or Home Depot and add your own plugs? This would be a lot cheaper than expensive power cords.
^^ Video not working for me either.
Same thing here! It says: Null, if the owner of this video has granted you access, please sign in. I’m already signed in – makes no difference. Why does this happen so often, time after time?
My login works fine it is 1:30 eastern time here
I have a single BHK 250 amp at one end of my 27 ft long room. I have a P15 power plant at the opposite end of my room feeding all other audio components. I have a single steel recepticle box with a 3 spade male recepticle normally like those used on equipment to connect the plug and power the equipment through their normal included power cable. This is the socket that is fed by the power plant through one of its high power lines. The recepticle is on one end of a conduit that connects only the two ends of the room. The P15 end of the room has a steel box that contains a 3 spade male receptical just like what you have on most components to supply power to the component. It allows me to power that conduit cable using a power cord from the P15 power plant. At the opposite end of the room I hava a second receptical box containing one of the PS 110 volt socket pair. That allows me to plug in the BHK amp at the speaker end of the room. I only need a single receptical for the Amp end of the room but I need those on the P15 for low power components that are for audio. There I have a BHK preamp and Stellar Phono preamp, another preamp and a Directstream DAC and sourse for the DAC.
is working for me try it again
I had no problems pulling the video up, and listening to it.
That must have happened, while I was working on my email app.
Video worked for me.
I guess a follow up question is if you are using two power plants should they be on different circuit? Or can they share the same one?
All great tips Paul, especially about PP placement relative to the the various components. I’m doing some of what you say already. I have 3 P10s, one each exclusively for each of the monoblocks and the third P10 for the (class D powered) subs and other components. The monoblocks and subs hang off the ‘high current’ outputs of their respective P10s. Each P10 typically runs at around 15% load.
On the ‘to do’ list is to have the system running off a seperate power phase to the rest of the house, breaking that out to seperate circuits for each P10 and then connecting up all components with short, high-quality power cords. Next comes proper positioning which will include in-floor (covered) cable troughs in order to avoid trip hazards.
I’m not getting too serious about completing all this in my current rental house. I’m looking forward to doing it all in my new place which will hopefully be completed sometime in 2021. Can’t wait. 🙂
