Oops. This design process seems to be totally different to the process of designing a bridge or an airplane where it’s all about safety margins! The process of designing “audiophile” products seems to be similar to the process of designing a Formula1 racing car. There still is a lot to modify after the simulations and wind tunnel tests, modifications which result from findings during track and handling tests!? And finally most subjective findings depending on the individual driver and race track (the individual designer and his listening room and stereo set-up).
Fascinating stuff! A fine example of how using computer modelling as a tool vastly extends our creative capabilities. Can’t wait for part 2!
