Lovely artist! I’d love some insight about the art of ending a song. I love creative endings versus repetitive bars simply fading out. Often it feels downright lazy to just fade out. But is there a reason an artist leaves a song “unresolved” ?
Stevie Nicks wrote and performed many great songs. However in trying to finish “Stand Back” she could not come up with an ending that she wanted. She contacted another great song writer that helped her out. That was the late and very talented “Prince”. As I have come to learn over the years as in life and it’s challenges, sometimes I think a slightly different perspective can work wonders.
wow that’s an unexpected collaboration of different artists. You may like the netflix docuseries called “Song Exploder”? Shows a variety of artists behind the scenes, creating songs and lyrics.
Words first tune next.
