November 2008
What an amazing time this is. In the short period between newsletters, we’ve elected a new president of our country; the financial markets are up, then down then who knows. On a personal note, we’ve been to New York City and in a few hours I am off for Chicago (and I squeezed a trip to Taiwan in the meantime)! And speaking of New York, what a contrast between Manhattan and Boulder!

October 2008
Let’s start out this month’s newsletter by recognizing that a lot of crazy stuff has happened in the world’s financial arena since last month’s newsletter! And since I make it a point to never write about anything political, I thought it might be more relevant to simply write a few words about what the situation means to the company and then move on to audio. I don’t think we can ignore it.

September 2008
Ciao! Is the friendly way to say both ‘hello’ and ‘goodbye’ in Italian. And that single word, plus ‘cappuccino’, ‘cafe Americano’, ‘pizza’ and ‘vegitariano’ embodies my entire Italian vocabulary. Honestly, one doesn’t need much more than that (plus a few hand gestures) to get around in the country. Terri and I just returned from Milan Italy where we gave the world its first look at the finished Perfect Wave Transport (PWT) and Ultralink DAC.

August 2008
I’d like to extend a warm welcome to our new PS newsletter readers that have just joined us. By way of introduction I am Paul McGowan, CEO of PS Audio and one of the founders of the company formed 35 years ago. This newsletter is one of my passions and written in the style of a personal journal covering news of the company, new events and developments in the audio video field, ways to improve your system and new ways to enjoy music.

July 2008
It’s a gorgeous blue sky Colorado day and Terri and I have been outside listening to KEXP Seattle. Now this might not seem incredible at first but the ability to listen to a live Seattle radio station while in Colorado is apparently something not many of our customers take advantage of or even know about.

June 2008
Our xStream SC line of power cables, including the Premier, Statement, Plus and Prelude are on sale for the first time ever. This is a company wide sale and includes all our dealers and distributors throughout the world that carry our AC power products.

May 2008
‘I just got the power plant premier and I can say that this is the best single investment I have ever made in my system including $30,000+ speakers. I am so impressed with the sound, it is like I have an entire new system. It is so amazing I can truly not believe it.

April 2008
Dave Kakenmaster and I traveled to Montreal Canada for the High End Show and to meet our newest PS distributor, Emmanuel Le Quere from Dimexs. Here’s a shot of Emmanuel explaining the new PWT prototype to a customer. Ignore the ‘Borg’ looking implant in his ear - certainly we wouldn’t want Emmanuel to look like a geek.

March 2008
Much of this month’s newsletter will focus on the state of digital media in our high end systems. It seems appropriate, therefore, that we start this newsletter off with news of the discovery of the world’s first optical recording (like a CD) that predates Edison’s first recording by nearly 20 years!
