What happened to GlobalNet? It seems to be offline.

Not a problem. It really is a cool feature of the PWT. I did miss it when I tried some new discs and it wasn’t on line.

Thanks for the reply.

I believe that GlobaNet is still off line.

Though my display shows ok for both internet and memory, the display on my PWT displays as if it has no connection to the outside world at all…no album info or cover art, etc.  I am only seeing the standard track number info, etc.

However, when I go to Globalnet on my computer, it shows the cd’s that I was listening to with the acurate day/time info from the last play…even the album art is there.

To summarize, everything looks right on Globalnet, but nothing is displaying on my PWT.

Any thoughts???  Anyone?

Thanks.

I had what sounds like the same problem. After playing a number of CD’s I would lose the cover art display. Then the text. Power cycling helped it a couple of times. Then it quit displaying album info altogether. It turned out that the code handling album info gets corrupted. Once that happens, the only way to fix it is to reload it. Last Nov. Scott had sent me the new version they were working on to try. After loading it and putting in a clean SD card- just to be sure, the album info display has been fine ever since. That is one of the fixes in the mini update that is available now. I would think it will also be included in the more major update that Paul mentioned was coming in the future.

Yeah, the quick way would be to remove the SD card in the back of the PWT and put it into a SD card reader on your computer (external ones are easy and cheap) and erase everything on it.  Or, get a new one.  Just make sure if you get a new one that the size does not exceed 2gB.
