"Paul. I bought an Ultimate Outlet + Lab Cable (to connect it to my AC wall outlet) for use with my Goldmund SRM monoblock amps. It took ages for the cable/outlet to burn in, but it really made a big improvement. Better, tighter & deeper bass (sounded like another 1/2 octave to me), and far clearer sound - not to mention a BIG reduction in hash & grunge. These ultra-wide bandwidth amps clearly love this clean power!
Not being content with that, I've now bought another UO + Lab cable for my preamp & phono stage (EAR 834L; Herron VTPH1MC)(my system is analogue based)!! I don't believe it (well, I do really!). Even more improvements to my system - this time smoother, clearer sound & better imaging. More relaxed and again, less grunge & hash (though not the same dramatic bass improvement).
