Work+relax

Prev Next

Saturdays or Sundays find me handling chores around the house like mowing the lawn. It's something I don't necessarily enjoy, but it's work that has to get done.

That said, there's nothing quite as enjoyable as admiring fresh cut grass on a warm summer's day. It's not just the sweet smell of newly mown lawn I like. Relaxing on the deck admiring the symmetrical perfection of the straight cuts is its own reward.

High-end stereo systems are like that too. We want nothing more than to sit and relax in front of them, but often it takes a bit of work to get things perfected.

Consider the effort expended putting together a new system. There's a bit of nail biting going on as you hope everything will sound the way you hoped for. When the work's finished, you can relax and enjoy the perfection your efforts wrought.

The best things in life often take work to achieve. The more difficult they are, the greater satisfaction they bring.
