Sharing time

I wrote about experts yesterday and some of you asked me how to pick one with value. And I would answer that you pick them based on their track record applying what they know: Einstein on physics, Thomas Keller on cooking, Richard Petty on Racing, Ansel Adams on photography. An expert who has never designed a successful stereo product is an unlikely candidate to take advice on the subject from. One of the finest examples of an expert with an envious track record is Bascom H. King, designer of dozens of sought after products. Time and again BHK has managed to design stereo equipment that breaks new ground in performance levels. I traveled to BHK's lair in Santa Barbara California a few weeks ago and setup video cameras to capture his thoughts on designing high-end audio products. I published these online for those interested in learning about design, music, and the processes involved. My motivation for recording his thoughts was two fold: a chance to learn design secrets from someone who has spent their life perfecting them, and sharing intimate time with a personality key to our industry. What better chance to get to know the measure of a man than to spend time one-on-one, even if it is through the video medium? There are 5 separate interviews to watch, each about 10 minutes in length. Go here to begin. https://www.psaudio.com/bhk-signature-250300-amplifiers/ The interviews are below the main pictures of the amp, starting with Interview One, History. Use the white arrow in the video carousel to expose the others. Screen Shot 2015-05-10 at 8.53.03 AM
