Finding your rhythm

On this new year's day I am reminded of the importance of music in our lives by my granddaughter.

My son and his wife went to dinner and left Terri and I in charge of the baby. When it came time for bed I was elected to try and put her down.

After many a book the lights went off and she quickly figured out the game plan - and wanted nothing to do with it. Tears, hysteria, "I want momma". I cooed, talked, tried everything I knew and then inspiration hit me: I started to sing. Instantly she quieted down, whimpered a bit and then fell fast asleep. I had found herrhythmand it was music that connected us.

No one reading this post would want to hear me sing - of that I am sure. But I am equally certain that music is what binds us all together and helps each of us find the natural rhythm in our lives that resonates with our inner beings.

From the PS family to all of you, may 2012 be a year of good things for us all and may all of us find what resonates best in our lives.
