I’ve noticed something interesting over the years. Many of us are uncomfortable referring to ourselves as audiophiles. Not amongst each other, but to the world—the great unwashed who don’t know what an audiophile is. Up until recently, I’ve been in that same camp.
For some, it’s no big deal. Others won’t admit to it.
When I decided to write the new book Confessions of an Audiophile I had to own up to the title.
I was fascinated watching the emotional change I went through getting comfortable with the moniker.
Once I made the decision I wanted to shout it out to the world and I designed a ballcap. A high-end one. 6-panel, cotton twill (who knew there were different grades of baseball caps?).
Made it just for me and few around the office.
My wife, Terri, just shakes her head.
I am getting comfortable with it all.
