Hola! It means ‘Hello’ and if you’re in Mexico, as my family and I were for our vacation, you hear it a lot.

Think of me in May
On May 10th I turn old. Yup, not just a little old, not just sort of old, but honestly, genuinely old. I turn 60.
Yeah, yeah, I think I’ve heard them all: ‘60 is the new 50!’ and then there’s the one ‘you’re only as old as you feel’ and they [...]
First optical recording ever
This is going to be a rather long winded newsletter, so wait till you have some quiet time, grab a cup of coffee and enjoy.
Much of this month’s newsletter will focus on the state of digital media in our high end systems. It seems appropriate, therefore, that we start this newsletter [...]
I am certain a lot of the trouble I get in (both as a kid and adult) must be caused by how I manage to deal with circumstances or what mood I am in. Or maybe it’s just that I have a few screws loose.
So yesterday I am returning to Boulder on a [...]
The secret behind CES
We just returned from the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Vegas where we displayed the new PowerPlay network controllable power conditioners and the new CD transport; both of which are to be released in the summer.
CES is an annual event, one I have been going to since the early 1970’s.
Ho, ho, ho!
I know this newsletter goes out to every corner of the world and only a very small portion of that world celebrates Christmas, but I think wherever you live, this time of year has some type of special meaning to each and every one of us.
In most cultures the winter or [...]
Before we get started, I just wanted to mention how much we’ve all seemed to enjoy receing the new Playback magazine. I have had so many nice comments about the magazine and how you like receiving it. Great to read about music in this format. I will continue sending you a copy and hope that’s [...]
Well, here we go, another newsletter at the last day of the month. Sorry about that! However, I have a pretty good excuse. As you will see below, we’ve been quite busy and attended two audio shows (one in Tokyo) as well as quite busy in the new product’s department.
But, on to [...]
An unwelcome guest
It was late one stormy Friday night as I drove the two hours from Boulder to our home in Vail, alone, lost in thought and glad the work week was over. I had my heart set on a cold beer and TV to relax when I arrived. Such was not the case.
August was a really busy month around here, both for the company and for me personally. As a guy it’s always important to keep abreast of those dates critical to one’s relationship lest you wind up on the couch; like your wife’s birthday and/or anniversary and August has both!
Terri and I celebrated our [...]
This is one of the shortest newsletters I’ve written, but summer’s here and we’re all kicking back enjoying things in life a bit too much perhaps. Anyway, both of us should be outside enjoying the summer rather than writing/reading at the computer!
So, I don’t know how it is where you live, but [...]
June’s almost over and to be honest, I’ve been slacking a little in writing the newsletter. Terri and I have taken advantage of the extraordinary weather in Colorado. While Boulder’s been hot, up in the mountains it’s been absolutely perfect.
As we hike on the many trails, we enjoy wildflowers, butterflies, mountain streams gorged with [...]
Munich High End Show
I think I promised a few newsletters ago that I wouldn’t wait for the end of the month to write: yet here it is the end of the month again. Well, I have a reasonable excuse this time around: Munich Germany.
Terri and I just returned from the Munich High [...]

Spring has sprung
Sorry this newsletter’s so late. I spent some time over in the forums area of our website where one of our members posted a question. He was asking if we were OK because he’d never had to wait this long for a newsletter. Indeed, we’re OK, just busier than we’ve been [...]
Hope everything is good with you and yours.
If you live in one of the Pacific Rim countries, Happy New Year! It is the year of the Golden Pig (which doesn’t sound too glamorous to me). Apparently it’s one of those really great years where it’s lucky to have children and one can expect a [...]
CES show in Vegas
We just returned from an extremely successful CES (Consumer Electronics Show) in Las Vegas. We presented the entire new power line, the Trio and G Series audio products and all our cables as well as handed out hundreds of Coal to Coltrane DVD’s. The response was just stunning.
Albert Von [...]
I hope you’ve all had a wonderful holiday season! Everyone at PS wishes you the best for the upcoming New Year. Let’s all hope that 2007 is a great year, that there’s more peace in the world and that life’s good for you and yours.
